Adobe TLP and CLP licensing programs to retire

On February 28, 2025, Adobe Transactional Licensing Program (TLP) and Cumulative License Program (CLP) will retire. These decisions mark a significant shift in Adobe’s licensing strategy, impacting customers across all market segments.

Adobe TLP and CLP Retirement

The Adobe Cumulative License Program (CLP) is a buying program with perpetual licensing through a 2-year agreement. The Adobe Transactional License Program (TLP) offers perpetual licensing for one-time purchases of desktop products – with no contracts.

Adobe is retiring TLP and CLP on February 28, 2025. Adobe wants to fully transition to a subscription-based licensing model, instead of the former perpetual licensing model. Adobe VIP (Value Incentive Plan) Marketplace (more below) will serve as the new platform for managing customer commitments.

What is Adobe VIP Marketplace?

VIP Marketplace is the evolution of VIP. The Admin Console will continue to allow organizations to manage their users as well as the addition, assignment, and reassignment of Adobe licenses for VIP Marketplace. There are the same volume discounts depending on the number of licenses as in VIP:
