Effective April 15, 2025, Broadcom introduces Incident Prediction, an industry-first security capability that extends Adaptive Protection in Symantec Endpoint Security Complete (SES-C). This new feature leverages advanced AI to identify and disrupt living-off-the-land (LOTL) attacks and other cyberthreats, enhancing your organization’s cyber resilience.
What is Symantec Endpoint Security Complete (SES-C)?
Symantec Endpoint Security Complete (SES-C) is a comprehensive endpoint security platform that integrates cloud-based protection with AI-guided security management. It provides a single agent/console architecture to deliver robust security against advanced threats.
Incident Prediction: AI-aided attack prediction and mitigation
Incident Prediction is an AI-driven feature that predicts and prevents attackers’ next moves in the attack chain, enhancing your organization’s cyber resilience.
It leverages AI and machine learning to analyze past attack patterns and predict the next steps attackers are likely to take. It then automatically applies mitigation policies to block those actions. To current SES-C customers, Incident Prediction is available at no additional cost as part of the Adaptive Protection feature.
To access Incident Prediction, ensure your SES-C is updated to the latest version, and the Incident Prediction capability will be available as part of the Adaptive Protection feature.
Benefits
The new updates in SES-C offer several benefits for users:
- Automated Mitigation: Automatically identifies and blocks predicted attacker actions, reducing the need for manual intervention.
- Reduced SOC Burden: Frees up security analysts to focus on other priorities by handling triage and mitigation automatically.
- Minimized Business Impact: Provides granular control over security measures, avoiding disruptive actions like quarantining machines.
- Enhanced Security: Proactively shrinks the attack surface by blocking low-prevalence applications and behaviors.
Licensing
SES-C is licensed per user per month, with options for yearly or monthly subscriptions.
- Subscription-Based: SES-C is available through a subscription model. Customers pay a recurring subscription fee to access the product and its features.
- Auto Provisioning: SES-C subscriptions are auto-provisioned, meaning that licenses do not need to be manually activated after the order is placed. For first-time purchases, a new tenant is automatically created based on the email provided by SCHNEIDER IT MANAGEMENT.
- Multiple Seats: Each SES-C subscription includes multiple seats, allowing organizations to protect multiple devices under a single subscription.
What should I do now?
To take advantage of the new Incident Prediction capability in SES-C, you should:
- Update Your SES-C: Ensure your Symantec Endpoint Security Complete is updated to the latest version to access Incident Prediction.
- Explore New Features: Familiarize yourself with the new functionalities to maximize your security posture.
- Adjust Your Security Strategy: Integrate Incident Prediction into your security operations to enhance threat detection and mitigation.
- License Need Evaluation: Check, if you have the required number of licenses in your organization. If not, we can help you by providing Symantec licenses.
