Adobe MAX 2024 took place in October 2024 and is an annual creativity conference. It serves as a platform to showcase the latest innovations in Adobe’s creative tools and technologies.
Next to innovations in existing products, like Photoshop and Illustrator and Premiere Pro, Adobe revealed the following innovations.
Firefly Video Model
The Firefly Video Model, available in limited public beta, is the first publicly available video model designed to be commercially safe.
Key Features
- Enhancements to Firefly models include 4x faster image generation and new capabilities integrated into Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Express and now Premiere Pro
- Generative Extend (beta) for perfectly timed video edits: Powered by the Firefly Video Model and now available in the Premiere Pro beta, Generative Extend allows you to extend clips to cover gaps in footage, smooth out transitions, or hold on shots longer for perfectly timed edits.
- Text to Video & Image to Video (beta) for improved user controls and stunning video clips: Powered by the Firefly Video Model and now rolling out in limited public beta in the Firefly web app, creators can access new Text to Video and Image to Video capabilities. With Text to Video, video editors can generate video from text prompts, access a variety of camera controls such as angle, motion and zoom to finetune videos, and reference images for B-Roll generation that seamlessly fill gaps in a video timeline. Image to Video capabilities allow creators to bring still shots or illustrations to life by transforming them into stunning live action clips.
Licensing
The Firefly Video Model is in limited public beta. During this limited public beta, generations are free. Adobe will share more information about Firefly video generation offers and pricing when the Firefly Video Model moves out of limited public beta.
Frame.io Version 4
Released on October 14, 2024, Frame.io Version 4 is an updated collaboration platform for creative teams.

GenStudio for Performance Marketing
October 14, 2024, announced the general availability of Adobe GenStudio for Performance Marketing, a new generative AI-first application that empowers brands and agencies to accelerate the delivery of global advertising and marketing campaigns.
Key features
- GenStudio for Performance Marketing is the latest enterprise application within Adobe GenStudio, Adobe’s existing end-to-end content supply chain solution that optimizes the process of planning, creating, managing, activating and measuring content for marketing campaigns and personalized customer experiences.
- Adobe’s new generative AI-first application brings marketers and creatives together to scale on-brand digital experiences through Adobe Firefly and third-party large language models, with the ability to organize, generate, remix and measure content variations that span use cases across performance, social, email, growth, and paid media marketing.
- Adobe expanded, integrated partnerships with Google’s Campaign Manager 360, Meta, Microsoft Advertising, Snap and TikTok, where brands will soon be able to activate campaigns instantly across platforms and make timely adjustments via direct performance insights – along with native integrations across Adobe Experience Cloud applications.

Project Neo
Project Neo, available in beta from October 14, 2024, is a web-based app for creating 3D content, designed for 2D designers.
